Kosovo US Alumni Members: US Alumni email: kusacenter@gmail.com
KUSA is entering its third year of existence. Since its establishment in 2007 KUSA has grown both in membership and in activities organized.Kosovo United States Alumni (KUSA) was established in 2007 with the help of the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo and the founding board, a dedicated group of our alumni. KUSA is a not-for-profit association, a diverse, non–partisan, independent group of bright and creative individuals who are compassionate, action-oriented and who exhibit uncompromising integrity. KUSA operates as a democracy that values diversity of opinion and background, fosters open discussion and debate, and supports all alumni equally. The founding board set up KUSA’s infrastructure: its name, its registration as an NGO, its bylaws, mission, strategic (3-year) and 2008 annual plans. At the first KUSA General Assembly in December 2007, KUSA’s over 150 members elected the first operational board. During 2008 the new board organized one conference and the second General Assembly, January 2009, where the new board was elected. Today KUSA has more then 300 registered members. KUSA aim to help Kosovo citizen’s through its members that had chance to study in United States of America, in different fields, and had opportunity to receive scholarship from State Department of USA. KUSA members are well trained and experienced and are ready to facilitate and share with Kosovo institutions in central and local level as well as with community groups and citizens, their knowledge and expertise, which directly will affect citizen’s life and their general development. |
